Chapter 16
Both Dave and Christine have got a major plan. And they are going to work on their own little projects today...
"Hey, John. Guess what?" Christine patted John on the shoulder. "I heard that Tim and Nicole kissed!"
"What?" John exclaimed. Christine nodded her head to signal to him that she is serious about this. John could not help but feel disappointed.
So, Nicole liked Tim after all. That's reasonably enough. I mean, no one will prefer a plain stupid nerd John to the popular charming Tim. However, he still kept holding on to the thoughts of Nicole changing her mind to like him instead. Now, it's pretty obvious that it's impossible.
"Do you really like Nicole?" Christine asked again. John sighed.
"Yes. I told you last time already, didn't I?"
"Then... I can help you," Christine smiled. "Provided that you follow my rules..."
John stared at Christine warily. Then, he sneaked one more glance at Nicole. She's laughing at something Dave said. Oh! her sparkling eyes, delicate lips.... For Nicole? Anything!
"Okay.... First thing we need to do is definitely new clothes! Meet me outside the mall after school." Christine said before John could change his mind.
----Meanwhile----
"Tim, what do you think of Nicole?" Dave asked, smirking.
"Huh?" Tim stared at Dave as if he is a manic. Dave continued smirking. "She's kinda cute...."
"And?" Dave raised his eyebrow, encouraging Tim to continue on.
"And... She is real cool... And her lips.... So soft, so sweet, like marshmallows. Sweet and delicate, yet burning hot with passion. Innocent like a rose but evil as a witch at times. She's amazing! Something hard to understand... A mystery..." Tim trailed off in a dreamy voice.
"AHEM!!!!" Tim stopped abruptly by the sudden voice. He looked up to see Jen laughing and screeching uncontrollably. Did she heard it? NO! This has got to be the most embarrassing thing a boy could ever encounter...
"Nicole? She's just an idiot! Hahahaha...." Jen sniggered at her own remark.
"Shut up. You opinion is not asked for here." Dave and Tim snapped in unison.
"Wow.... Chill... What happened?" Nicole asked, totally unaware of the situation.
"About how Jen is becoming a meanie..." Dave whispered into Nicole's ears, rolling his eyes in Jen's direction. Nicole laughed at Dave's childish behaviour while Tim just stared at them moodily.
'Do they have to flirt in front of me? Urgh....' Tim pretended not to care while Nicole and Dave continued to laugh at who-knows-what stupid jokes.
Dave was observing at Tim on the other hand. And he knew that he had succeeded in making Tim jealous by the way Tim kept on looking at the table uneasily. Score one for Dave!
"Guys, wanna hand out after school?" Dave directed his glances at Nicole. Nicole nodded. Tim gritted his teeth and tried to smile. Jen nodded her head when she saw a chance to 'develop' her relationship with Tim.
"The mall!" Nicole smiled as she recalled the previous day at the mall. Should she ask Christine along?
It seems like Christine did not feel like hanging out with Nicole anyway. She was nowhere to be seen
Just when her mind was at sea, Dave placed his arms around her shoulders. Then, he lowered down his body till his face was only a few millimetres away from Nicole. The warm breath Nicole felt blowing against her face sent her heart racing. Her blood inside her was boiling which makes her face reddened.
"Meet me outside my classroom at 2" he whispered into Nicole's ear and tilted his head to kiss her neck.
Nicole was stunned and her legs turned jelly. Deep in her mind, are thoughts on 'Why did he kiss me?' or 'Tim, don't be mistaken! It's just a friendly kiss among the two of us!'
"Isn't it time for you to go now, DAVE?" Tim was annoyed and strode out of the classroom. (in a robotic manner)
"Woah.... Powerful aura surrounding you, buddy. Chill, young man!" Dave exclaimed.
"JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH UP!!!!!" Tim glared back at him and continued striding down the corridors in his robotic way.
"Oh man.... He's sure is angry..." Dave sighed as he watched him leaving.
"Is it rare for him to be like this?" Nicole asked out of concern when she saw how worried Dave's eyes were.
"Yeah... He's a happy-go-lucky person. And he wouldn't be like this in the past even if I were to french kiss the pretty ladies in front of him-----" Dave stopped all of a sudden when he had this 'great idea' stuck in his mind. "Wanna test it out?"
"Huh? Test what?" Nicole was confused and many 'question marks' surrounded her.
"To test if Tim likes you"
Nicole's eyes widened as she started thinking about how Tim might react and what Dave is going to do to test it out.
"Ding~~~~~"
"Time for lessons," Dave smiled. "Gotta go back now. Bye.... See you after school" And he left Nicole there, staring at the blank whiteboard.
'Why do I keep having the temptation to touch her?' Dave thought and stared at his palm...
